What would really happen if the young people took over the country? In this campy cult fave from the late 60s, a popular rock star runs for president. Winning in a landslide, his first presidential edict: All oldsters are required to live in retirement homes and forced to ingest LSD, taking the phrase "never trust anyone over 30" to its most extreme. The film is said to have prompted Mayor Richard Daley to post guards around Chicago's water supply during the 1968 Democratic National Convention to prevent anarchists from putting psychedelics in the water.
