Tonî Takitani

Tony Takitani grew up in solitude, with his mother passing away early and his father often absent due to his jazz band commitments. He pursued art in school, creating precise but emotionally detached sketches, reflecting his self-sufficient and logical nature. After establishing himself as a technical illustrator, Tony becomes captivated by Eiko, a client with a passion for high-end fashion, and they marry. Experiencing emotional fulfillment and fearing loneliness for the first time, Tony becomes concerned about Eiko's obsession with designer clothes. His request for her to economize leads to tragic consequences. Alone once more, Tony is left contemplating his wife's cherished couture collection and places an ad seeking a woman who fits her exact measurements.
