    Married to Lewis, a wealthy and successful writer, Elizabeth escapes her family routine on a thermal holiday in Germany. There, she meets a handsome German, Thomas, who pretends to be a poet while engaged in more or less legal business. Thomas secretly follows her back to England after her stay.
