River of No Return

Set in the Canadian Northwest and shot around Banff, River of No Return focuses on a romantic triangle in the wildest west: a saloon singer (Monroe) longing for affection and respectability; her no-good gambling man (Rory Calhoun), intent on staking a gold claim; and a farmer with a troubled past (Robert Mitchum) who has recently reunited with his young son. To recap: two impossibly sexy stars, lashes of romance and adventure (the raft sequences are thrilling), and acres of Rocky Mountain scenery captured in sweeping widescreen -- not to mention a nod to the Canadian government in the end credits!
