    John Travolta turns in one of his most effective performances in Blow Out as a movie sound effects technician who, while in Philadelphia, accidentally records the sound of a tire blowing out (or is it a gunshot?) and stumbles into a Chappaquiddick-like scenario in which a presidential candidate dies.
